Jump!Twirl!Spin!
The rhythms encompass me
A rapturous entanglement of delight
Bend!Slide!Pop!
The wild gesticulations of primal moves
Bringing me back to the invention of fire within myself
Tap!Punch!Push!
A most beautiful crescendo of catharsis
The great funneling of emotion into motion
Twist!Bounce!Shake!
Let me ride this glorious shock wave
Of musical momentum onward
Jump!Twirl!Spin!
I will do it all again
Enveloped in lockstep with my best dance partner —
myself.
