Daily Remembrance

— a poem—

The courage to be kind although
the world around seems foe.
The shadows of the mind distort,
they cover what is shown.

The patience to be still amongst
the chaos of my thoughts.
To see what is for what it is,
remember what was taught.

The wisdom to be meek enough
for ego’s pride in tow.
To listen deep when others speak,
to let my interest show.

Grant me sight, to see it’s you
in all that’s seen and done, accrued.
I Grant space to let you in,
to love and lose,
to learn,
Amen.
