Do You Have Emotional Contacts?

They are just as important as your medical emergency contacts

I can’t believe I haven’t written a word or a sentence since starting work, and I don’t know how I feel about that. I write daily, but workdays and school are my priorities. Work is excellent; no complaints school is like a bag of hot dog shit. I’m sick of it and can’t wait until it’s over.

I hope all of you are doing well on your journey to healing and living a life that only you will be happy with. One topic that most of us overlook is emotional support and how that can affect how we heal throughout our journey.

We’re quick to fill out an emergency contact for a future job, or the medical office requests it, but how long would it take to figure out who to list in your emotional contact list? There are two questions you must answer while figuring this out. Warning: this will be hard (insert sly grin here).

Is this person in my life for convenience?

Can I give an example of how this person showed up for me emotionally?

A simple pro and con list is the simplest way to navigate this mess we call life. If the person you wrote on that list has more cons, then start over because that’s not what you need in your life now. Please make note of the ones you had to remove.
