Finding Yourself is Easier Than You Think
You never truly forget who you really are.
There’s an age-old question that pervades human existence.
It’s a primeval question, one with an answer that has evaded us for millennia. And it’s this question that we’re all ultimately prompted to answer when we begin study in philosophy, religion, the arts and all humanities.
It’s the question that many ask themselves daily, and throughout the full length of their lives.
For some of us, it’s a haunting question.
For others, it’s a quest.
And for a few, it’s answer is a beautiful truth.
“Who am I, and why am I here?”
“It isn’t by getting out of the world that we become enlightened, but by getting into the world…by getting so tuned in that we can ride the waves of our existence and never get tossed because we become the waves.”
― Ken Kesey, Kesey’s Garage Sale
On a shelf in my office is an old shoebox full of pictures. It has that old smell. You know the one, the smell of old paper; a hint of aged vanilla and dust.
