Fragile — Handle with Care
In response to January/February Writing Prompts: 31st — 4th
I sometimes feel,
Wrapped up in a box.
I am made of glass,
Box tagged with the label,
Fragile — handle with care.
One wrong move,
The crack will appear.
Like one scar caused,
And the waterfall of tears will appear.
But now it’s time,
To change the instructions.
Sturdy inside,
Yet open the box with patience.
Like now I know,
That scars are lessons,
Damaging for sure,
But breaking over it is my decision.
Another instruction could be,
There is a glue if the item is chipped.
The cracks will disappear,
Give it a day or two to heal.
Then I know,
That there is a fix.
Time will start working its magic,
And meditating will help me heal.
So, the packers and movers,
Need not panic while the box is on the move.
I too can be rest assured,
That hurdles with time bring good news.
And so, when package will reach to its destined destination,
I too can move ahead in life with these learnings as my new set of instructions.
Thank you jules for this thought-provoking prompt.
It was so much fun to think of new self-care instructions through this creative prompt.
Thank you to KTHT editors Diana C., coach Spyder, Ravyne Hawke and jules for always cheering us on to be our authentic self and for motivating us write from the heart.
Thanks so much for your time!
