Gentleman
What’s the truth behind your smile?
He dresses for me and baths in scents
Holds me tight at all kinds of events
A beautiful vacation by the Hawaii beach
A romantic proposal, all the happiness I always felt was out of my reach
My family whispers, girl you’re so lucky
My girlfriends say he is the right choice for me
I smile and shine
Swearing to myself, you are going to be fine.
All the handsomeness and dollars cant hide the story
In mornings I am the perfect pretty wife
At nights he wraps me with screams and knives
He doesn’t beat me, no bruises on my arms
Uh Uh! that’s not how it’s done
Evidences can’t be left for me to run
He keeps me under his influence with fear
One of passive aggression’s charm
He looks over me, never out of sight
Tracks my cards and even controls my appetite
People and society mesmerized by his personality
He wants a family with rationals of practicality
But I know the tricks
Under his sleeves
A child is the best prison for him
To keep me tamed under his terms and believes.
He is a gentleman as he hurts me with sorry.
Even at this age such a partner is still considered my glory.
