Grow Up and Run Away
Poetry of life

A burden
no-body can want
in the big scene-r-y
Little minds
with inferior
notes,
Surrounded by talent
with nothing up top
that could earn the respect
of a common-sense
vote.
The version that
brings on a shrug
and a sigh and
a warm cup of tea
in a cheap plastic
mug,
A burden while
watching the news
and not hearing a thing
and complaining of
weather and
fog.
The great uneventful
are breathing
Disturbing the fringes
and cursing
Let’s put them
to sleep,
This diet our
lovers ingest
Always going a length
for some
shriveling flesh
of disease.
