Here’s What Years of Childhood Bullying Taught Me
A message you all need to hear
Fitting in is a topic that makes its way into many of my articles because it’s something that I’ve struggled with for the majority of my life. If there’s anyone out there that understands societal pressures, it’s me.
Growing up I was bullied quite a lot and to this day I’m not sure why. I guess it’s because I’m a super quiet person and that just makes me an easy target for people to let their rage out on.
To be honest, even if I did know the reason, I don’t think it would change anything. Their words cut deep into my soul and left a scar there that still haunts me to this day.
It probably sounds super dramatic for me to sit here and say that someone’s words affected me so deeply, but it’s true. Harsh comments were made about me from the way I dress to the way I walk, and even the way I look.
Of course, getting criticized at such a young impressionable age took a toll on my mental health and I began to completely transform myself. When I talk about transformation these days, it’s usually me encouraging you guys to transform into the most authentic version of yourself so that you can reach your highest potential.
