They say there is a first time for everything. And life clearly has a way of ensuring you experience your firsts in the most unexpected scenarios possible.

Back when COVID-19 put a full stop in our lives, I used to see people cycling on the road from my window. The 29-year-old me at that time felt it in my bones what is means to have FOMO (fear of missing out). I used to pace around my room in frustration wondering when I could just feel the breeze in my hair when the cycle just moves along with the wind. Or if I would ever experience that pure adrenaline rush due to the speed and momentum of completing a set no. kilometers.

When I first got to the shop to purchase my cycle, I thought I was out of my mind. The thought that I am crazy to do this kept playing in my head on loop. But I ignored it and bought it anyway. After 3 months of consistently working hard, I finally pedaled without keeping my foot on the ground. I still remember…
