How Our Content Can Impact Others During This Pandemic

Dear Know Thyself readers and contributors,

I sincerely hope you are all managing to find ways to stay sane during these times. I’ve recently just discovered how truly overwhelming this period can be, yet how revealing and insightful (like everything else in life, after all).

I’m writing this letter to thank you all once again for choosing to join this community. We have done quite a lot of growing together and I am sure our work has been touching others in ways we may never be aware of.

I find it especially important for us to write powerful, raw and genuine content during these unprecedented days. There are so many people out there who are struggling and who could really benefit from our experience, words of encouragement, empathy and compassion. It may be that they accidentally (or not) click on one of our stories and it changes everything for them. It is imperative that we remember how the ‘butterfly effect’ works and how we can actively play our part in it.

For that reason, I am kindly asking contributors to considerate submitting content more often during this transition that we’re experiencing worldwide. I’ve always said we have no rules in this publication and I stand by that. Each contributor is free to choose their frequency of submission, but, because we are in such a delicate situation, I believe we could make a difference by putting a bit more of ourselves out there. I repeat, it’s a suggestion, not a demand. Only do so if this idea resonates with you! Nothing changes if you don’t.
