How to Know if You’re on the Right Path
And how to turn the wrong path into the right path.
My life has been a bit too chaotic lately. Between work, travel, and my children’s activities, I’ve felt like there was no space to breathe. I’ve felt out of balance.
This has manifested as me straying off the path of doing the things that make me feel good and happy. I haven’t been writing or exercising much. My yoga and meditation practices have fallen to the wayside. My food choices have been leaning towards too many unhealthy items. And my house has become too cluttered.
I’ve felt this in my mind, body, and soul. I’ve felt off and disconnected from myself. I’ve realized that I’ve been chasing too many things outside of me when I should be more focused on the inside. I should be more focused on stillness.
Life’s busyness can serve as a wonderful distraction from the places we don’t want to go inside ourselves. When we’re too busy running around outside, we don’t have time to look inside. We have an excuse to conveniently avoid what we don’t want to see.
However, our avoidance is a delusion. Life will continue to present us with things on the outside that reflect everything we’re avoiding on the inside. The same lessons will reappear until we decide to learn them.
