As I’m writing this, I find myself in a lot of physical pain. It’s quite ironic, considering the intended message of this article, but such is life. Whether it’s physical or emotional pain, I’ve noticed a fine line between engaging in the necessary work of healing and the tendency to obsess and ruminate over the same painful experiences repeatedly.

Many of my articles delve into negative experiences and past traumas, leaving the positive, joyous moments largely untouched. This realization struck me during today’s episode of physical pain, prompting a spontaneous decision to shift my focus in future articles. I’ll continue exploring sensitive topics and my healing journey, but I plan to blend these with reflections on beautiful life experiences.

I genuinely believe that those positive experiences can be just as empowering for ourselves and others, as the more challenging ones. And I think it’s a needed reminder for all of us to not take our happy moments for granted in this quest of resurrecting that deep pain within us. Passionately writing about the smell of earth after it rains, Earl Grey tea and long conversations late at night is powerful, real, relatable, soothing and peaceful.

I’m learning how to change the conversation and redirect that energy creatively. I believe this shift will allow beautiful things to blossom.
