Are you fine?

This narrative is dedicated to those who often hide behind the facade of “I’m fine.”

How are you?
I know the go-to reply is usually, “I'm fine.” I guess that’s what we humans do — answer meaningful questions with arbitrary phrases.

I ask again. This time, let your heart do the talking. Are you truly the embodiment of your 'fine' declaration? Or does it feel like you're constantly navigating through tempests?

Hey, hey, hey. It's okay.

What if the grand ambition of building an empire or conquering an industry isn't the only path to success? What if you didn’t have to be the top performer in everything? What if, instead, you built a charming life that brought you joy — a life that's both generative and supportive? What if you redefined success on your terms? What if by changing the lens through which you view life, everything can become more vibrant? How much more time would you devote to actually living if you simply let go of the relentless pursuit of more?

It's fine if life terrifies you at the moment and you're uncertain about what to do next. It's okay if everything seems to be hurting and all you feel is anxious and worried. It's okay if you are hopeless about everything. It's okay if you seldom use sleep as an escape. It's okay. It's okay if nothing makes sense right now. It’s all okay.

All these feelings have value, and you don't have to pretend that they don't hurt you. Our greatest strength lies in our ability to acknowledge our pain. If there's anything I know, it is that pain demands to be felt. Pain deserves to be validated, and trying to submerge it in self denial is only a temporary solution at best.

The most effective approach to dealing with pain, hardships, change, or opposition is to allow yourself to feel it. Please do not run from it. Do not run from your feelings. Run towards it. Meditate. Get to know your mind, your heart, your soul. Move your fingers over the wounds. Discover the parts of yourself that you have kept hidden from the light. Heal yourself from the depths of your being.

Do not put too much pressure on yourself if you feel lost, confused, or unsatisfied with your goals. Life would be boring if you had achieved it all already; if you had no more room to grow and learn. If we knew what tomorrow had for us, we wouldn't need faith. And If we didn’t need faith then what is life really? A self-scheduled itinerary to be completed? Doesn’t that just sap the magic out of life?

Be patient. You will eventually figure things out, and everything would make sense. The WIN is coming, don’t let the WHEN worry you!
Every experience will get you to where you are supposed to be. Every misstep, every loss, and every heartbreak. Don’t be afraid to mess up, and don’t expect overnight success. Lose yourself, get lost, and find yourself over and over again.

We might not always see the pieces fall into place in the timeframe we desired. But this does not stop us; trust that you will not always be here. You are not stuck at this stage. As terrifying as it may look, our present uncertainties will not last forever. Even the longest of days do come to an end.

It is possible that you’re feeling dwarfed right now by the vastness of the world and the countless others ahead of you. But everyone’s growth is unique, including yours. Victories are won by our actions, and merit is gained by our own efforts.

You are not a failure solely because some days are tougher than others. You are not less because you have scars. To reach the light, you don’t run away from the dark; you run through the dark to get to the light. In order for a star to form, the nebula has to collapse. So crumble. Collapse. This isn't your destruction; it's your rebirth.

I hope you find what you’re looking for out there. I hope you find the kind of happiness that exists on your own terms. I hope you truly figure out what moves your soul and gain the courage to pursue it. I know. Caring for yourself isn’t easy. But remember, "possible" doesn’t always translate to "easy." You can do hard things.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

And with that, I bid you adieu…
