I thought about it for a long time. It’s not my original idea, I heard it or read about it. When I was young I would label myself. First, I was a punk, then a biker. Until recently I was a Buddhist/ Anarchist. I am a father and a husband.

It dawned on me how stupid it is to put a label and carry it like a cross through life.

Someone said (one of the Greek guys):

True wisdom comes to each of us when we realize how little we understand about life, ourselves, and the world around us.

Putting labels is one of the mistakes many make, I am included. There is no point to do that, as today’s truth might become tomorrow’s lie.

There certain things that need to be remembered — honesty, respect, compassion. The rest is not important.

For Christians — we are born in sin.

For Buddhists — we are born in pain, we live in pain, we get old in pain and we die in pain.

For Atheists — there is no soul only raw physics.

Humans put labels on everything and then believe that the labels represent the truth.

I guess we are in that stage of our development, we have to do it until we reach a better understanding of ourselves and the world surrounding us.

I hope that we won’t destroy what we have before we realise our ignorance.

We are blind creatures clinging to a tail of an elephant. We must accept our ignorance and appreciate that we are wise enough to see it. Until then we will be making the same mistakes we made before.
