See what sorrow took
the shell you remain
where only silence enters
where stillness got away

Each loss is notched like
a lover — I am no Lothario but
dipped clean in Feeling
like a god

Slowly stories unravel
until you explain
how you had to hold mother’s heart
when father went away

Your legacy a great black spot
of shame — blame for a man
who only stayed with a woman
until another came his way
