In a moment of reflection today, I asked myself what makes life worth living. Is it enough that we just exist? Inhaling. Exhaling. Blood pumping. Tongue tasting. Eyes seeing. Scents surrounding. Ears that can hear a whisper of wind. Is that enough? Is that life?

A newborn infant can do all those things. Does it have any idea what life is? No. It does not. A butterfly has more awareness of life…
