Mirrors

They are found in every home, and no one misses having a look at them.

The most fascinating object for me is the mirror, as it not only reveals our appearance but also offers a lot about our being.

You might have stood right in front of your mirror, all alone, when you felt like talking to yourself. It might be for taking up a resolution, a challenge, preparation, or, in times of heartbreak, confronting yourself by staring straight at your eyes.

You might have seen your smile when you felt happy. You might have seen your tears rolling out of your eyes when you had deep regret for your mistake.

The facial expression of yours when you said to yourself, "Yes, I can do it. The facial expression of yours when you felt proud of yourself for achieving something and gave a thumbs up to yourself; your shy face when you remember your lover; those sparkling eyes—all are revealed by your mirror.

Every part of your body you stare at has something to say. Your face and your body will reveal something interesting about them. Your eyes, the special ones, will reveal your true self.

Sometimes, looking at yourself, you might be lost in memories that make you smile, sad, or worried, and all those expressions of yours are right in front of you.

One is the talking you do to your inner self, where you need complete isolation, and one is the talking you do with your outer self, where you need a mirror.

Life without mirrors would have been boring. Looking at our reflection has an interesting history, from the waters to polished obsidian, from polished metal to coating thin layers of metal to glass, and finally to modern mirrors.

A big thanks to Mr. Justus von Liebig, who invented this wonderful object that lets every person know themselves.
