Haiku
My Brilliance
Each day as the sun sets…
My brilliance is
That I stay true to my Self
The me of our youth.
When we read about how Germans after World War 11, justified their actions by saying, ‘I was only doing my job’, my sister and I vowed that we would never compromise our values. Then societal and familial pressures came, telling us to be ‘normal’, insisting that we ‘go with the flow’. One of us did, one of us did not.
