I take the time to prioritise my tasks.

I make sure that I have a to-do list and that I prioritize it. The list helps me organize my tasks in order of importance, so I can ensure that the most important ones are done first. If there is something urgent, then it goes to the top of my list. My to-do list is a tool that helps me prioritize my tasks and get them done in an orderly manner, so I can feel like I’m making progress on goals throughout the day. It also helps me avoid procrastination, which can lead to burnout.

I schedule my most important task in the morning.

This is a great way to ensure that I don’t let myself get sidetracked by other tasks later in the day. It’s also a good idea to make sure you’re not distracted by other tasks, so you can focus on what’s most important.

I give myself at least one break during the day.

I try to think of one thing I can do to make myself feel better. It can be as simple as going for a walk, reading a book, or taking a short nap. It’s important to remember that your body needs rest, too — sometimes it’s easy to forget this when you’re feeling overwhelmed by work or life in general.

I eat a healthy lunch & I don’t let myself get too tired or hungry.

I know it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind and forget to take care of yourself. But I try to take a moment every morning and make sure I eat a healthy lunch, even if it means standing in line for half an hour at the grocery store. It’s such a small thing, but it helps me stay on top of my game and fight burnout.

I keep doing things I enjoy as much as possible.

Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves of what we love. The bad days can be so much fun to remember.

You know you’re doing something right when you’ve got a list of things that make you feel good. That’s how I’ve always been: I keep doing things I enjoy as much as possible, and then I write them down on paper or make a list.

So I’ll tell you: if it helps you, go ahead and do the same thing. If not, that’s fine too! You don’t have to follow me around all day with a little notebook. Just remember: if there’s something that makes your heart race and your palms sweat, write it down!

And whatever it is, do it again tomorrow!

I do whatever it takes to stay on top of deadlines.

I do whatever it takes to stay on top of deadlines. This means that I don’t let anything get in the way of my productivity — even when it comes to things like social media, and even when it means I have to be up late into the night working.

I make it easy to complete only the tasks that need doing right now.

I’ve found it’s stressful to try to do everything at once, and I’m better off focusing on one thing at a time.

When I’m overwhelmed, I don’t feel like I can get anything done. It’s hard to focus on just one thing when so many things need to be done.

My daily to-do list helps me get through the day with less stress so I can focus on what matters most — like my family and friends.

I get enough exercise and sleep each day to help me maintain a healthy body and mind.

A healthy body helps me feel more energetic, which helps me stay focused on my goals. A healthy mind keeps me from getting burned out, so I can focus all of my energy on what I need to do.

I try not to over-schedule myself so that I can make sure I’m getting enough rest.

I take care of my mental health by getting regular checkups with my doctor to make sure everything is going well.

I make time every day to spend with friends and family because they are what keeps me sane!

I control how much time social media uses up in my life.

I control how much time social media uses up in my life. When I’m not working on my projects, I can choose to spend time on social media, but there’s a limit.

When I’m working on projects, I block out time for them so that I don’t feel pressured into staying on them longer than I want. If you’re able to set your boundaries, then you can get more done in less time.

I don’t multitask; instead, I focus on one thing at a time.

The key to surviving burnout is to focus on one thing at a time. You can’t do it all, so you have to pick your battles and choose your battles wisely.

When I was working full-time and going through my burnout cycle, I found that when I started engaging in “multitasking” (i.e., moving from task to task) and trying to do too many things at once, it made me feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Instead of being able to focus on any given task for more than 10 minutes — which is the point where people start getting burnt out — I’d get overwhelmed by the amount of work I needed to do, and would end up not doing any of it well at all.

So now that I’m working from home, I find myself doing fewer things in a day but accomplishing them much better because they’re less overwhelming than they were before. When we’re under pressure or overstretched, our brains tend to feel scattered and unfocused — but when we just focus on one thing at a time for long enough.
