On My Return Trips To Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden
No, those trips weren’t at the beach. But they definitely put me face to face with the magnificence of Mother Nature.
And getting back to Nature has been my primary goal for over a year now. I figured getting a taste of Her is what’s important, no matter where that might be.

It’s been several months since I last wrote about visiting Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden (HBG), even though I’ve made several trips there.
My goal during that time was to get to Waimanalo Beach, my all-time favorite beach in the whole, wide world. But the drive always seemed too long — a good 45 minutes from home. HBG, on the other hand, is a short 15 minutes away. So that’s where most of my Nature trips have taken me this year.
The other close spot that’s 15 minutes from home is Kualoa Regional Park where this IS a beach. I’ve already written about one visit there (links to related stories are at the end of this one). But I’ll end this piece with a photo I took on a recent visit to get at least one beach shot in.
