Where I Find My Safety
Safe Harbor in a Storm
My foot has counted in thousands of steps
Away from the northern religious-despite
Sojourner in crowds of western fans
Painted my backpack
With a political backstabber
In search of fawn-lily
From southern brotherhood
Boxes of Aconite petals were gifted
Where is our oneness?
Why safety in their sameness?
Welcomed my arrival
With warm Judas-kiss
From ethnic-bloodline
Attracted by its purity and clarity
The Sahara desert inscribed
Strokes of dryness on my skin
In thirst of the life-saving waters
Crossing the Mediterranean
Opened the gate of colorism
Oh! In a journey of blindfold
Self-awareness has revealed
I possess the safety I search
In me, my divine safety harbor
