Poetry Challenge — KTHT
A journey of undoing, being, and becoming.
It has to start with awareness.
Something has gone wrong.
When we know it’s broken,
only then can we fix it.
So, we begin.
I am broken.
I need help.
I need repair.
Now, the work can be done.
The undoing can begin.
The dismantling of the old.
Deprogramming the system.
Unlearning the old ways.
It all has to come down
piece by piece.
Unraveling the complex threads
and painful knots.
Slowly, we become undone.
Nothing, but hope as we cling on.
Exposed, raw.
Ready to apply the healing balm.
A small light shines
through the darkness
as we sense a solidness.
An emerging being
comes forth from within.
Strangely strong,
yet familiar,
like an old friend.
Finally, we are
— becoming.
Thank you for reading!

Thank you Diana C. for leaving this poetry challenge open, so we can go at our own pace. This works well for me.
