I live in a free world where I’m allowed to choose — how I live, who I am, and what matters most — all within the bounds of the law. With me, millions of others live under no visible oppression. And yet, freedom isn’t something I take for granted.
Have you ever really stopped to think about the freedom you have?
Freedom is the choice of which master to serve — your dreams, your peace, your habits, or someone else’s expectations.
I truly believe that life is a series of choices.
We choose to get up in the morning, to get dressed, to go to work. We choose to work hard, to chase our goals, to rest. Every day is filled with choices, and in those choices, we find our freedom.
When the alarm clock goes off in the morning, I get up — because I want to. Of course, there are days I’d rather stay curled up in bed just a bit longer, and sometimes I do. That’s a choice too.
I choose to do things that make me feel good: work hard at my job, dedicate time to writing, editing, and reading. I go for walks or bike…
