Said I Loved You But I Lied
When this song was a hit back in the 90’s , I didn’t understand it. Even though I can remember singing the parts I could grasp with all the zeal a child could gather, I could not understand why someone could say they loved someone then later retract admitting that they had lied.
It seemed mean and hurtful to the receiver. To me, it would rather have gone unsaid.
