How many times have you walked away
Didn’t I asked you to stay, just the other day
Again you told me you had to leave
There was something in dire need — obviously more important than me

DON’T BRING ROSES TO MY GRAVE

The birds will pick them anyway
What did I expect…
Even the sun doesn’t stay, but at least it returns another day

DON’T BRING ROSES TO MY GRAVE

When I apologized, you turned and walked away
Did it even matter?
Being next to you, I felt dead anyway
I grieved for many years
Was it really me, or your own fears
Hurt pierced both our hearts, leaving only tears as souvenirs

DON’T BRING ROSES TO MY GRAVE

I repeatedly let you in
Yet, my one time was your last time
How quickly my voice became impenetrable to your ears

DON’T BRING ROSES TO MY GRAVE

REALLY
Why can’t you see?!
There’s more than what you perceive

IT HAS TO CHANGE!

Until a new vision is restored, that can’t be ignored
Until the light overpowers the thick darkness
Until the fire turns to ash

You’ll only see through foggy lenses

Life is nothing more than a vapor
and EVERYTHING has its time under the sun

Until the day, we all meet the SON

I’m sorry but,

DON’T BRING ROSES TO MY GRAVE!

I couldn’t smell them anyway.

“How do you know what life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog — it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” James 4:14 (NLT)

We all have a predestined time. Don’t wait to forgive. Forgiveness is the beginning of healing.
