“The problem with introspection is that it has no end.”
Philip K. Dick

That’s not really a problem, though, is it? Self-reflection is neither a chore or a daunting task. It’s a fun, insightful activity that serves meaningful purposes. One of these purposes is becoming clear on how the human ego works, why it’s not a monster like most “spiritualists” portray it and how acknowledging its traps can contribute to our growth.

The veil of one’s individuality that encourages separation, false perceptions, delusions and despairs (a.k.a the ego) experiences a deacrease in power each time we take a step towards knowing ourselves. Ever heard of the concept know-thy-ego? You probably haven’t, as I just came up with it. All jokes side, I think that by getting to know our ego and befriending it, we can get a clearer, better understanding of why and how it sabotages us. Once we’ve befriended it and had a chat with it, we can learn how to deal with its tricks and take control of the stirring wheel .

Poor ol’ ego just wants to keep us safe. Its true that, in its attempts to do so, it adds to the suffering we’re already experiencing due to our painful history of traumas. Yet, here’s my question for today’s prompt(which I am still reflecting on myself):
