Never expect others to understand us. Every person has a different perspective. Every person has their own way of looking at things. Even when people speak the same language, they are very prone to misunderstanding another other because they can’t see into other people’s minds and hearts. They will never step on our shoes to judge our helplessness. None of us understand others since we all are locked into our own selfish, introverted and subjective perception of reality.

Nobody ever really understands anybody. How could we? We don’t even understand ourselves, and we have far superior access to our own thoughts, attitudes, memories and motives. Yet we often come to understand our own behaviour only long after the fact, often to our chagrin or embarrassment. How, then, can we suppose that others should read our minds better than we read our own? Especially since we often do our best to conceal our desires and attitudes when exposing them would embarrass us or give rise to embarrassment.

Sometimes, the only person we need the most is the reflection we see in the mirror when standing in front of one. Yes, you heard it right. We need ourselves more than ever. Trust me. Maybe you can’t look at your face even. Just don’t start judging yourself by listening to other judgements. Or else you can never ever get up from this unending misery!

The worst place you can be is in your own head. It can eat you up entirely. The world may be selfish, but please don’t be inconsiderate towards yourselves in your own world!
