I have so much to accomplish today that I must meditate for two hours instead of one — Mahatma Gandhi

It’s impossible to meditate wrong.

Any activity that allows a person to detach from the world's distractions, whether knitting, running, woodworking, or just sitting quietly, is the right meditation form for them.

The Soul Painting art class hosted at the Eternal Gandhi Museum in Houston, Texas, allowed participants to experience this unique meditation form and decide whether it benefited them.

The Eternal Gandhi Museum’s mission is to advance the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi — one of the most influential social justice activists of modern times.

The Soul Painting art technique though deceptively simple, could be surprisingly challenging.

Our instructor, Janine, laid out paints and brushes and prompted us to pick one light, medium, and dark color of paint and one thin, medium, and large-stroke paintbrush.
