As they forced the crown of thorns upon my head
I saw your reflections through the blood running down my eyes

I gave into the silence as the spear spread apart my ribs
My wound oozed your names with defiled water from my lungs

Horns played as you sang songs made of lies and denigration
The crowd cheered and danced to the truth’s demise

Before the last of my soul could escape from my lips
My chest heaved and I drew in the last fragrant trace of hope

I freed myself from the nails meant for your wrists and feet
Swallowed them whole as I fell to the Earth’s floor

Now rusted, I carry them with me in this welcomed exile
Awaiting the moment you are all condemned to suffer for your sins
