The Black Aura of August
A poetic response to Creative Corner edition Nº4
I see you, sweet August
your black aura slowly pulsates
you are parched, listless
the hot, angry sun saps away
any signs of summer’s play
O August, your energy field begs
for deep-rooted grounding
to recharge, seek balance
yet there is no penetrating
this bone-bleached earth
What’s to be done, sweet August
but to lie here in exhaustion
or muster up the might
bring healing light into existence
and thrive once more
