The Lonesome Warrior
A Poem
In the battle scars of life
In the shadows of darkness and strife
You linger there too much
You are so out of touch
The hurt, anger, and rage you feel
No doubt is very real
It would seem you don’t want to heal
Your rage has taken on a zeal
Though the ones that did you wrong
Were vicious, hateful, weak — not strong
They took you by surprise
They attacked you in deceitful plays
Only cowards choose such ways
But…
