Our writing can be an extension of ourselves. It can serve as a vehicle to show the world what is inside us. As we transmute our thoughts into words, concepts, verses or paragraphs. We notice a morphing of our minds A sort of alchemy when our inner lives bridge with the outer life.

There is gentle magic in pouring bits of your soul out onto the page or screen. There is a quiet beauty in writing each word. Quietly asking others to,

See me, hear me, and invite me into your heart

Writing can be scary, vulnerable, transformative, revealing, alluring, and brave. It can also be chaotic, fun, explorative, or tear-jerking. It’s ever a wonder as a poet and writer to dance with my thoughts seeing where it takes me. What micro-world might unfold today as I write these words?

Where will my words travel today? Who will read them? How might it touch them? All these questions evoke an awe within. Our writing can take us to many more places than our feet can. It can connect us with many more hearts than our days can permit.

A writer is a magician of sorts. An alchemist transforming the mundane into the magical. Casting spells with the might of their small words.

There is a quiet beauty and magic in writing. I hope you will start exploring more of it today.
