Hello there! I apologize for being so late with our new themed poetry prompt, but this last week has been such a tough emotional rollercoaster. Add lack of motivation and inspiration on top and we have the perfect recipe for procastination.

I have been working on my lack of consistency for a while now. It’s one of the reccurring themes in my therapy sessions and it’s something difficult to shift, but not impossibe. In fact, progress is being made and that will become noticeable here on Medium as well.

Anyway, enough with all this ranting! I think it’s so important to ground ourselves during challenging times…And what better way to do that than to come back to Earth…physically, mentally and emotionally. To get out of our heads and become aware of the beauty that surrounds us.

There is a song I absolutely adore from Sleeping At Last called “Saturn”. Well, all of their songs strike a chord when you listen to them, but “Saturn” just hits differently. One lyric in particular gives me goosebumps every single time. And that is going to be our prompt for this week:

How rare and beautiful it is to even exist.
