To My People…
Words will never get this done, but here we go…

I’ve written many times about how important it is to “know your people”. Not everyone in your relational network. I’m talking about your tribe, your crew, people that stick close, even when they’re not close. People who are there for you to give comfort and lift. People who know you so well, and love you so much, they let you be you even when you are different than they’d like. Your soul tribe. Your soul family. Your People.
Over the last 18 months, I’ve had the incredible fortune to have a global group of people just like this show up in my life. And to beat all, in those 18 months, my life turned upside down. I think differently, I value differently, I see differently, I live differently. These are people who have felt all that change in me, seen that change happen and evolve. These are people that have been here to help me through it all.
They are from Romania, Russia, China, Denmark, Australia, Iran, Brazil, Qatar, Indonesia, and the UK. At this moment, today, they are spread all over the globe. In Thailand, Egypt, Singapore, Portugal, Spain, Europe, Brazil, Germany, America, and a few are here with me in Indonesia.
Two years ago, I didn’t know any of these people, but God was surely brewing each of our souls to converge in such a time as this.
I met nearly all of them over a few short magical weeks in early to mid 2023. I know all of them because of a letter one of them posted in her blog in late 2022. How that blog met my eyes is an entirely miracle of a story itself. How I ended up in Bali was years in the making. I just had no idea.
But here I am today.
Its never been more clear who my people are. I hear from them often regardless of location. We video, we talk, we message, we hang in cafes, we walk thru the jungle. We cry, we laugh, we share, we send more gifs and emoji’s than is reasonable, and we love. We love despite how we may feel. We love amidst pain. We love with ecstatic joy.
To my people,
I love you.
And as you have been here for me,
I am, and will be here for you.
I am thankful.
I am blessed.
I am love.
