When Nothing Makes Sense in Life
A poem
Staring at the blank page,
You question your existence.
You wonder where you are headed,
And feel life is clueless.
You dive into meditation,
Searching for answers you seek,
Reassuring yourself everything will work out,
If you only believe.
Everything is unfolding perfectly,
You keep telling yourself,
However, life always has different plans,
And that reassurance seems to tank.
But its in these tidal waves,
That life draws a map.
We arenโt supposed to know the outcome,
But just follow the plan.
In the ups and downs and twists and turns,
New wounds open and old memories return.
You question the pain and learn new lessons,
All the while emerging as a whole new person.
Then you sit back and join the dots,
And magically everything connects.
You begin to understand the how and why,
But only when you sit back and analyse the past.
But like that tidal wave,
Life throws you a tsunami of emotions,
Washing away your old lessons,
And making a gateway for new realisations.
Then you go back and tell yourself,
That you are exactly where you are meant to be,
And everything will work out for the best.
If you only believe.
It seems like you are back to square one,
And nothing seems to work as you thought.
But then you look back and tell yourself,
It worked out then and it will work out ahead as well.
