Why Growth Should Matter More Than Discovery

Life is about sculpting your unique identity and not chasing after some sort of shadows

To be frank, I used to think that life’s journey is a quest to find oneself.

However, I’ve come to realize that such a quest usually make us feel as if our true identity is hidden, waiting to be discovered.

But it's actually not!

The notion of self-discovery can potentially limit us. For example, when we focus solely on self-discovery, we might not experience the growth and transformation we’re seeking.

Perhaps life isn’t about finding the version of you that’s static, but about continuously shaping and creating yourself, or even recreating who you are.

This is why you must be always smart to seize the day because life gives you new opportunities every day. In fact, leveraging every opportunity you have can mold you into the kind of a person you desire to become.

Discovery is Good, But I Prioritize Growth Over Discovery

I’ll tell you why.

Many of us had spent several years trying to discover ourselves, hoping to eventually uncover our hidden identities or a predefined purpose.
