Like many of my friends, I used to strive to get what I wanted. Whether it was money, love, or wellbeing, I worked hard to achieve my goal. Later, I realized that the best way to get what I wanted was to be what I thought was missing from my life.

I still worked, but I stopped struggling. So, instead of aiming to make money from writing, I focused on providing value to readers. I captured the qualities I imagined money had and gave it to others.

Also, rather than striving to gain approval, I let others know that I genuinely approved of them. I made a point of seeking aspects of life I approved of and mentally listing them, too.

My new habit changed my world, and it might do the same for you. Here’s how I went about this helpful change of perspective that improved my life so that you can incorporate it into yours.

I looked at several areas, including money, love, and health, and worked out how to become them by displaying their qualities.
