You Cannot Say to the Sun “More Sun” or to the Rain “Less rain”

But there is something that I can say to myself…

Know Thyself, Heal Thyself

The rain is always enough to maintain flow

I heard the pitter-patter coming from outside my window, a warm sensation encompassed my body as I listened to nature’s euphoric beats. I smiled with delight, opened my eyes, and became instantly grateful. I thought for a few seconds about the last time that the rain had fallen, but my memory failed me at that moment. With joy in my heart, the only thing that I desired was to venture outside and embrace the pure and pristine waters from the heavens.

The rain did not last long, but it was enough for what was needed. I dared not demand mother to provide more rain, for she is perfect in her being and knows what nourishment is needed to keep her essence flowing.

No rainbow or sun brought hope after the rain but hope still existed. My heart was full, and my soul was nourished from that fleeting moment. As I stood staring up into the sky, all I could say was thank you, God. I retreated inside and became aware that my body was cold and soaking wet — but my soul felt cleansed and renewed, and that was enough.

We are not separate from nature, but we separate ourselves
