Starpharma chief Jackie Fairley has called for a simple change to superannuation contributions, which she says will create a ­“paradigm shift” in investment in the “knowledge economy”.

Ms Fairley said there was a huge allocation of superannuation funds in Australia but a remarkably small proportion of those contributions went towards companies in what she ­labelled the knowledge economy — producers of innovative products.
