That is the way to grow Connecticut’s economy, not by taxing the very educational entities that create jobs in the knowledge economy of the 21st century.

Taxing the endowment and the educational properties would diminish the university’s ability to attract and retain faculty, invest in facilities, maintain competitive pay and benefits, and do the basic scientific research that eventually creates companies and helps cure human disease.
