“Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of which they grow. “~Oliver W. Holmes.

I believe there is nothing that bothers students and budding writers as much as English grammar. Let’s face it, for most people writing their emotions is much difficult than expressing verbally.. It scares even more when English is not your mother tongue..

Then, Why to write it in the language we are not comfortable in??

The answer is-connect, reaching out to wide range of audience. English has been considered to be the first Global Lingua Franca. There are 104 countries where English is spoken as their first language.

Let’s get real here.

You’re a creative thinker, not a nit-picky English grammar geek. When you sit down to write like you usually write, not dither around with mechanics. a marketing email to compose, a term paper to turn in or generally writing answer in your exam paper.

So when your powerful words start flowing, you don’t want to get in their way by thinking about all those little grammatical details.

Not to mention the time factor. As in you can barely find the bandwidth to completely write it and we leave edit for grammar at the end..

But, If you really care about being perceived as intelligent and credible. And you’re smart enough to know that for your writing to be taken seriously it needs to come across as polished and correct.

The problem is, that conventional grammar rules are pretty hazy even when they are taught so forget about remembering it forever..

My blog thus attempts to render solutions to the problems faced by the students and young writers with special reference to English Language learning and communication. It will also uncover all the hidden problems and confusion related to English grammar concepts and show the reality without any prejudice.

To begin with we must understand what is language?

The word language is derived from words — ‘lang’ which means talking/spoken and ‘age’ which is time.

So talking of common people over a period of time at a particular place forms a language..

Why it is important to learn grammar of any language ?

So let’s understand, what is grammar?

To know the meaning we will divide the word grammar as ‘gram’ and ‘ar’. The word ‘Gram’ as you know is the scale of measurement and er/ar signifies doer. For ex.

A person who swims is a swimmer.

One who writes is a writer.

This means we need grammar to measure the language. And only Grammar can tell whether the language is correctly spoken or written.

Now we have the background, So let’s get started..

The English grammar lessons listed on this blog will help you overcome the general difficulty in learning grammar and help you to teach yourself grammar for your needs.
