App of the Month: Super Mario Run
It’s-a me! With another app review. I honestly forgot that this game was coming out in 2016, but I’m glad it did. If you’re like me and was constantly disappointed in this previous year then here’s something that will bring a little joy.
Pros
1. You get to customize your kingdom and rally Toads to live in it.
2. The controls are even simpler than they were on the consoles. You can play this with one hand.
3. All your faves are in it — Luigi, Peach, Toadette, and Yoshi are all playable characters.
Cons
1. Only 3 levels are free. For the full version of the game, you have to drop $10. Luckily, it’s a one time dollar drop.
2. You’re stuck in a perpetual forward motion — you can’t control when or which direction you run.
3. No sign of Waluigi and he’s my all time fave.
Super Mario Run can also connect to your Nintendo account so you don’t lose any progress you’ve made if you end up deleting the app for whatever reason. You’re also able to rally Toads to come live in your kingdom and build it up, which I don’t remember you being able to in the old Super Mario games—so it was kind of neat that they added that bit in the app.
That’s all I got cause it’s a pretty straight forward app, because it’s-a Mario, man!
