this screeching wheel rubbing
against roads of construction
over and over,
built and broken,
administered by same paper
swallowing
not serving,
for people
not puller.

this rising dust
(only mine)
early air
(only his).

this stretched hand of blister
against rope of food, of hunger,
this play of lifting need of a world
has a banned narrow street
lit by bare feet
i envy
letter sent to mouths
wrapped in towel drenched in
not sweat,
only monsoon.

his monsoon
his light body
pulling without.
this last day
of a forgetting
heavy world.
