We are very happy to announce the addition of the fifth type of crypto arbitrage on our platform that will come in equally handy as the other 4 types of arbitrages available on KoinKnight. It is simply an upgrade over the intra-exchange arbitrage, so it can also be called “intra-loop” arbitrage.

Difference in intra-exchange arbitrage and intra-loop arbitrage

Intra means within so it means arbitrage within the exchange but What is this loop part of the arbitrage?

Just think of doing an intra-exchange arbitrage and add another step of converting final-currency to the original currency with which you have started your arbitrage and it becomes intra-loop arbitrage.

What is the use?

When you have completed an intra-exchange arbitrage you have only two options

(a) Wait for an arbitrage originating from the final market.

(b) To immediately convert back the final currency to initial currency.

Consider this example, if you have started doing arbitrage from the INR market and then end up in the BTC market while doing intra-exchange arbitrage. After completing the intra-exchange arbitrage you have two options

(1) Wait for an arbitrage originating from the BTC market.

(2) To immediately convert back the BTC to INR.

Earlier in KoinKnight, you were only able to follow the step (1) as we were showing the arbitrage between various markets inside an exchange i.e. basically intra-exchange arbitrage.

Now for users who want to take the step (2), for them, there was no option available but to calculate everything manually and by the time they end up doing all those calculations the arbitrage is gone.

To solve this problem of users who wish to take 2nd step, we brought this loop part in intra-exchange arb that will show you how to bring back that BTC to INR immediately by selling it. In our calculation, we have considered the order-book depth, and then you will exactly know the difference in how much INR you have started the process and at what amount of INR you will be left with when you will be finished doing the arbitrage.

You started the arb by buying XRP of 10,000 INR and sold that XRP in the BTC market and end up with 0.02BTC. Now, again selling that BTC in BTC/INR pair to get back 10,500 INR. So you made a total profit of 500INR.

Another use case

People who want to minimize their time risk and don’t want to diversify their portfolio in various coins can use this opportunity. As it will maintain their stable market coin and keep all the assets in a single market.

Isn’t this solution giving you another opportunity by saving a lot of time and reducing work for you?

At KoinKnight, we have always tried to make features that help our users in real-life problems, not only to show you good arbitrages on paper but also enable you to make money in real-life situations. And the first step towards achieving our herculean goal is to listen to our users, understand their problems and find an efficient solution that will help not just one user but also many who are facing similar problems.

While just listening to our users and solving their problems in an ingenious way has made us one of the leading crypto-arbitrage platforms, showing different kinds of arbitrage like none other, in real-time with utmost accuracy, considering the whole order-book depth and all hidden charges.
