A Changing Room and a Coronation Offered Two Portraits of Love
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1, NIV)
The baby in green struggled on the unfamiliar Starbucks changing mat.
His mother, also in green, leaned over, smiled, and reassured him. The baby chuckled in response. My heart melted at this snapshot of patience and trust.
The Coronation of King Charles reminded me of the bad weather his mother faced. To compensate us for the rained-out ceremonies, my parents sacrificed to send us away to the better celebrations in the city for three days. We were delighted, unaware of the cost.
Parents love to give good gifts to their children.
Amidst life’s stressors, let us enjoy our divine birthright. We are God’s children. Nothing can separate us.
