Two boys raced their bikes down the driveway, the youngest in training wheels. Ryan, older by three years, reached the finish line first. Fist pumping into the air, “I’m the winner!”
Sean, crossing the finish line seconds later, with as much enthusiasm as his brother, raised his fist in triumph, “I’m the loser!”
To win in God’s kingdom is to joyfully choose the losing position.
To be content in God’s kingdom is to surrender our rights to first place.
To win at the next life you’ve got to lose your life in this one.
