Lord, it’s dark outside
I can’t see what is ahead
what changes await
how life will be touched.

And I wonder how
will we live, pay our bills
and what if
we get sick?

We’re so easily given to fear.
Anxiety probes the edges
of our minds, capturing
our hopes, draining
our strength.

But this I know,
that You are with me
even when I’m not
aware of You.
