I read certain passages every day and let God speak to me and you. Click on the highlighted passages and you will go to BibleGateway. You can read any version. The ones I highlighted are in The Message.

Ephesians 4:25–32

Lots of fodder in this passage

  • put off all falsehood
  • speak the truth
  • we are one body
  • in your anger do not sin
  • we must work at doing something useful
  • no unwholesome talk
  • only speak what is helpful to build up others according to their needs
  • do not grieve (upset, cause sorrow, pain or distress) the Holy Spirit
  • get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling and slander
  • Be kind, compassionate to one another, forgiving each other as Christ forgave you

Be righteous. Be honest. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 23
