Before the Flatline
A colleague lost her younger sister suddenly. She appeared healthy even on her last day. However, when her autopsy result came out, it was obvious she was just a walking corpse.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. (Matthew 10:7–8, NIV)
When Jesus commanded his disciples to raise the dead, I believe he wasn’t just expecting them to wait for someone to die before they can perform the “Lazarus’ kind” of miracle. But power was given to raise up dying situations or walking corpses before the actual death.
Do you know of a hopeless situation?
A Struggling marriage,
A failing business or career,
A backsliding friend,
or a worsening health condition,
And for other dying situations or persons we are oblivious of,
We speak life into them in Jesus’ name.
