I watched the sunrise today,
and the orange clouds spoke to me
“Don’t you yet know that everything is going to be okay?
I paint a new picture every morning, and yet, do you still doubt my faithfulness?”

The devil is a liar.
He whispers fear into my ear and berates me for not being better.
How do I still that evil voice,
and hang like a creamsicle cloud in the sky,
trusting my destiny to the Master Painter?

The mind, the mind, the mind.
The battle is always in the mind.
The heart loves, the spirit is already redeemed,
but the mind is such a trickster.

The mind is where we fight and win our battles.
Too much information, not enough,
we falter back and forth.
Take action, rest, advance, retreat.

Filter out what doesn’t relate.
Another’s truth is not my own.
Information overload
I slip from rest, and the cycle repeats.
Blot out all the noise, trade it…
